An augustinian convent from 1644An augustinian convent from 1644
The building is a former Augustinian convent built in the 17th-18th centuries along with the church of the Holy Trinity. The religious institution was founded in 1644 with the Altemps’ contribution.
Today the palazzo houses the municipal offices.
At the centre of the building is a portico with round arches, originally provided with a well, and accessed via an ashlar gateway, topped with an effigy in relief of St Augustine. On the second and third floor are the offices and institutional rooms, which preserve antique furniture and paintings with portraits and scenes from local history.
